Speak Out Against Bad Fitness; Or, Lifting Heavy Destroys More Than Exercise

It is not OK to lift heavy, or see an elderly person lifting heavy, for just seconds out of the hour.

If they used slow music to set rhythm, and lifted light they would recover their lost muscle, and posture.

Aging as it is commonly understood and Fitness, are full of lies and myths that make it pleasant to fail.

Elderly and obese failing their exercise due to lies, is a pretty horrible thing.

Gyms providing places to sit, invective machinery, and enforcing don’t think, don’t judge, don’t evaluate is pretty scary.

Real exercise is just a gentle slope, everyone has a different starting point, but the aim is the same: fitness and beyond.

Isolating muscle and lifting heavy for 30 years, does nothing but cause muscle atrophy.

And this is because people are not using their full body, and due to heavy weight can’t lift for long enough to actually exercise.

So we draw a horizontal line from left to right, and a gentle slope, from left to top right.

This triangle represents increases exercise duration, intensity and weights, it does not represent discomfort because we set the pace by adaptation.

If you start your fitness journey by dancing with dumbbells you will suffer, but if you start by walking, and walking faster, and jogging, and then dancing.

And finally add wrist weights, and then switch to dumbbells, and eventually spend 45 minutes slowly dancing to country, you will not suffer.

You will not force yourself into things your body is not yet ready for, you will be enjoying your flexibility, strength, and achievement.

Even if you don’t care or understand that you will eventually become elderly, you have to stand up for those who are well on their way there.

Non stop dancing first, 30 minutes or one hour, earned by walking or jogging. and then lift light dumbbells but no so light that you can lift more.

If you are forced to stop, if you can’t finish your exercise, it means you are lifting too heavy, and you will pay for it with muscle atrophy.

You will give up on fitness, on weight lifting, you will never adapt, not beyond that measly 3 minutes of lifting and then 57 minutes of sitting.

In 30 years you will be weak and constantly tired, because you never exercised non-stop.
